Who We Are
Throughout the world, Salesian centers for ongoing formation are dedicated to the continuous growth and development of members of the Salesian Congregation (Salesian Society of St. John Bosco) and the Salesian Family. They help deepen the Salesian Family members’ understanding of the Salesian Charism and adapt it to current pastoral needs.
The Salesian ongoing formation centers throughout the world aim to revitalize Don Bosco’s legacy through:
— study (programs and internships),
— research (publications), and
— experience (workshops, conferences, classes, etc.).
The Salesian Center for Ongoing Formation in Berkeley offers formation programs for both Salesians and lay individuals committed to the Salesian mission in their provinces.
What We Offer
The first cycle of the Salesian ongoing formation program here in Berkeley provides a comprehensive curriculum focused on three vital charismatic areas:
1. The Person and Charism of Don Bosco
2. In-depth Study of the Preventive System
3. Contextual Application of the Preventive System
