In light of our role in animating the Region, which spans from Canada to Bolivia, I have appointed a first group of experienced SDB brothers and FMA sisters to serve as advisors for these new formation programs. Additional advisors will join us in the future. I am pleased to introduce them to you:
Sister Luz Milena López Jiménez, FMA | Current Provincial Coordinator for the Dimension of Evangelization, and Principal of the Maria Auxiliadora School in Medellin. She holds a Master’s in Theology, and is a published author.
Fr. Joe Boenzi, SDB | Current Provincial Secretary and Director at the Provincial House (SUO). He is an Emeritus Professor at the Dominican School of Philosophy and Theology and a former director of Don Bosco Hall.
Fr. José Pastor Ramírez, SDB | Current Provincial of Antillas (ANT). He previously served as Provincial (2002-2008), World Delegate for the Past Pupils of Don Bosco, and World Coordinator of the Salesian Family (2009-2016).
Fr. Lider Justiniano, SDB | Current Provincial of Bolivia (BOL). His past ministries include Principal of Colegio Don Bosco and Provincial Delegate for the Salesian Family.
Br. Mario Olmos, SDB | Current President of Universidad Don Bosco in El Salvador (CAM) and General Coordinator of the 25 Salesian Universities in the Americas.
Fr. Javier Altamirano Álvarez, SDB | Current Pastor of the Maria Auxiliadora Sanctuary and Provincial Secretary of México-South (MEM). He is a former Provincial (MEM), Youth Ministry Delegate, and Director of the Salesian Center for Ongoing Formation in Quito.
Fr. José Santís, SDB | Current Pastor in the Province of Colombia-Medellin (COM). An expert in Salesian Studies, he is a former Provincial Vicar and Coordinator of the Formation Delegates for the Interamerican Region.
Fr. Felipe Carranza, SDB | Current Provincial Vicar of Mexico-North (MEG). He has served as the Provincial Coordinator for Schools and as Principal at several Salesian schools.
Fr. John Puntino, SDB | Current Director of Mary Help of Christians Presence in Toronto, Canada, Province Delegate ( SUE) for Salesian Family and Salesian Cooperators in Canada and Ecclesiastical Assistant for CDB and VDB. Formerly worked as director or assistant to confreres in all phases of initial formation from pre-novitiate to theology.
